5. In simple terms, after placing safety pin, pull the tapered core
end clear, and attach Super Snake to it by running its hook up the center
and out the side of the core, turn the hook so it snags (if the core
is a bunch of loose yarns, tie a knot in a few of them to hook too).
|
|
|
Take a few riding wraps in the hooked area (dental floss is recommended),
and continue wrapping it towards the yarn ends as tight as possible.
A few wraps of Magic Scotch tape makes an extremely smooth joint, and
anchors the floss.

6.
Attach the Super Snake to the jacket's end, start it into the extruded
core at the safety pin, remove it, and let the Super Snake do its thing.
When you know the jacket will bury, let the Snake come out the side.
|
This smooth connection will allow the Super Snake to enter the center
of the jacket at the yarns (Mark A) easier when splicing small, or used
rope than a wrap of rigger's tape. When pulling the core around the
perimeter of the eye to the throat, is the procedure mentioned in the
patent that allows you to see the shape of the "eye" immediately, not
last.
To
lay a "Simple Eye," bring the core out at the throat.
To lay a "Compound Eye," continue past the throat, inside the jacket,
alongside the standing core to Mark CC (shown above) before coming out
of the jacket. No matter where you come out, detach the Super Snake
and tie a temporary knot in the core so it won't pull back in.

|
Adjust the crossover as shown, and stitch it back and forth the width
of the thumb before detaching the Super Snake. |
